“The way I am” - Eminem
Since I became interested in personal enhancement a number of years ago my life has taken an upward turn. It was over 10 years ago that I decided to change my mode of life, and the benefits I have received by applying a positive attitude has changed and improved my life and countless others. The personal setbacks and difficulties I have encountered have made me realise that if you don’t nurture your self first, you are at a disadvantage. You are the architect of your life, and it is as good as you will it to be. My aim is to inspire you to live a more rewarding and fruitful life.
I voluntarily run a support group for parents and carers of young people who are hospitalised due to having a mental illness. I am an Involvement Worker with Rethink and am passionate about improving mental health services. I’m a member of Manchester LINk www.manchesterlink.org.uk which is a network of local people, organisations and groups that want to make Health and Social Care services better.
I’m currently in training with a rape crisis centre in order to deepen my knowledge and understanding of this type of violence and its effects.
I devise and deliver workshops on confidence and self esteem, anxiety and coping strategies for people in recovery from a mental illness.
I am a qualified person centred therapist, registered with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their ethics.
My approach is unique, as I use my life’s experiences and professional training (NLP, Counselling, Coaching, Mentoring) in order to support, guide and motivate you.

My personal philosophy
Mental illness has brought untold knowledge and understanding into my life, and I wouldn’t have had the opportunity or passion to continue becoming who I really am, without the shadow of schizophrenia. This illness has forced me to walk through fears I thought I’d never encounter. It’s taught me that despair isn’t as useful as hope. And it’s easier to hope when you realise crises bring opportunities. Accepting my son’s illness was the most difficult thing I’ve had to face, yet it’s made me stronger and wiser. The most important thing it’s taught me is that life is how you see it, and, consequentially , the way you see it reflects your mind.
What one see’s is simply a portion of what really is.

I have immense faith in the human spirit, and believe that each one of us has our own unique personal power.
My aim is to inspire you to take action to live a more satisfying and rewarding life.
